Priorities for the Children, Young People and Education Committee
Priorities for the Children, Young People and Education Committee
The Children,
Young People and Education Committee was set up by the Senedd to look at
policy and legislation, and to hold the Welsh Government to account in specific
areas. These areas included children and young people; education; health, care
services, and social care as they related to children and young people.
In order to help inform the Committee’s strategic planning and forward work programme, views were sought on what stakeholders thought the main priorities should be during the Sixth Senedd.
All responses are available on our consultation page.
A key priority was to ensure that children and young people’s voices were heard
in the Committee’s work. Activities were run with children and young people to
help understand their priorities for the Sixth Senedd.
A summary of our findings (PDF 2MB) from this engagement work is now available. We would like to thank all those children and young people who contributed.
On 16 December, the Committee published two versions of its Sixth Senedd Strategy: a simple version (PDF 70KB) and a detailed version (PDF 46KB).
