Minutes: 4.1 The Committee heard evidence from the Cabinet Secretary for Housing and Local Government. 4.2 During the
meeting, it was agreed that Welsh Government would write to the Committee: • to provide
more detail on the work of the Cardiff Councils' Homelessness multidisciplinary
team with regards to data sharing; • to advise on
the Welsh Government’s next steps Welsh Government to support the front-line
workforce following the report publication from the workforce task and finish
group; • to provide
details of the outcome of the Welsh Government’s discussions with UK Government
for additional funding to cover the cost of the rise in National Insurance
contributions; • with
additional information on the work of the rapid rehousing task and finish
group, including details of its forward work programme; • with
information on the Welsh Government’s discussions with the DWP regarding
removing financial barriers for young people in supported accommodation to find
employment; • to provide data / statistics on the number of people currently or recently classified as homeless after release from prison. |
