The Committee received evidence from the Minister for Social Justice and Chief Whip.

The Minister agreed to provide:

-     Confirmation of whether the Welsh Government has sought external legal advice about legislative competence in relation to the Senedd Cymru (Electoral Candidate Lists) Bill.

-     The costs to the Welsh Government associated with the last case considered by the Supreme Court in relation to the legislative competence of a Senedd Bill.
