Purpose:

This is a matter where the consent of the National Assembly for Wales is sought by the UK Government to legislate on an issue which could normally fall within the competence of the Assembly.

 

The Health and Social Care Committee reported on the Legislative Consent Memorandum for the Care Bill (PDF, 150KB) on 25 June 2013.

 

The Health and Social Care Committee reported on the revised and supplementary Legislative Consent Memoranda for the Care Bill (PDF, 351 KB) on 18 November 2013.

To propose that the National Assembly for Wales, in accordance with Standing Order 29.6, agrees that in addition to the provisions referred to in motion NNDM5247, those further provisions of the Care Bill, relating to UK reciprocal arrangements for cross border placements of adults, and mental health after-care for people in so far as they fall within the legislative competence of the National Assembly for Wales, should be considered by the UK Parliament.

A Legislative Consent Memorandum has been laid in Table Office on 9 October 2013 in accordance with Standing Order 29.2(i).
